Toshiba C445 error code
Fuser sensor fault
Toshiba C445 usually indicates a fuser temperature sensing fault: the thermistor signal is missing or outside its range. The printer stops for safety.
What does this error mean?
Besides a faulty sensor, a poor connection or wear in the fuser assembly can also trigger it. On Toshiba printers, fuser error codes remain stored after the fault has been resolved and must be cleared by a technician.
What can you safely try?
- 01Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait at least 10 minutes for the fuser to cool down, then switch it back on. Many error codes are temporary and disappear after a full power cycle.
When should you call a technician?
Call a technician: the thermistor and fuser assembly need to be examined.
Do you rent out or manage printers?
If you manage the printer at a customer’s site, you can record the fault on site in PrinterMS using QR issue reporting, and any parts used are automatically added to its service history. See printer fleet management.
