Ricoh SC400 error code
Image transfer or process control fault
Ricoh SC400 usually indicates an image transfer or process control fault, for example when measured charging, development or transfer parameters fall outside their range.
What does this error mean?
Process control measures and adjusts the parameters that affect print quality. If a value remains invalid, the printer reports this code.
What can you safely try?
- 01Switch the printer off at the main power switch, wait at least 10 minutes for the fuser to cool down, then switch it back on. Many error codes are temporary and disappear after a full power cycle.
When should you call a technician?
If the code returns, call a technician to check the imaging assembly and sensors.
